Motiv "Smart ring": contains Heart rate sensor, tracks your Steps, Sleep patterns and "Active minutes"

Many fitness trackers are available in the market today with Fitbit being the dominant player. Major forms of fitness trackers take the shape of armbands. Although the creation of wearable gadget in the form of a ring has been in pipeline since long no company has so far produced it.  Now it seems that the company  "Motiv" has overcome the barrier where it introduced the tiny fit bit "smart ring" at Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las vegas.

Motiv "Smart ring": contains Heart rate sensor, tracks your Steps, Sleep patterns and "Active minutes"

Features of Smart ring

  • It contains inbuilt heart rate sensor, a pedometer to  track your steps and the device also gives data on sleep patterns
  • Unlike other fit bands that set-theoretical goals (say like 10,000 steps) smart ring gives active minutes that has the potential to encourage slightly more active exercise.
  • The smart ring employs active minutes with a goal of keeping users active for at least 120minutes per week
  • The ring is lightweight and comes in gray and rose gold
  • It has ultralight titanium shell making it durable
  • Smart ring contains a curved battery that can be placed in a magnetic charging slot which in turn can be plugged into any USB port.
  • The device syncs to a smartphone app and you can find the complete data.
  • The app uses a card interface to keep you updated about the goals showing you high-level overviews of your day and week.
  • In the app, you can also track details minute by minute to know the activity

According to "Motiv" spokesperson, the smart ring is in production phase after successfully passing the beta period. so we can expect the company to roll out the device in the coming months.
