Samsung Galaxy S8 to feature Dex dock, a new concept that turns phone into desktop computer: Report

Rumors about the next flagship device Samsung Galaxy S8 continue to pour in and according to the latest report, the phone comes with a both headphone Jack and desktop dock called Dex dock that turns the phone into an Android-based desktop computer. A part from the above features the report details various other specs of Galaxy S8.

After Galaxy S7 fiasco there have been high expectations attributed to the next flagship device i.e Samsung Galaxy S8. Earlier reports said Samsung to S8 to feature highest water level resistance with IP 68 rating. Another report says Samsung S8 will not be unveiled in Mobile world congress 2017. According to the new Report, Samsung Galaxy S8 will come in two sizes five and six inches.


The smaller one is codenamed Dream and the larger one as Dream 2 and both are expected to sport curved edge displays.On the Camera, front it is said  S8 will sport dual pixel camera similar to Galaxy S7 with improvements in image quality, speed, low light performance and object recognition. Other rumored features include 64 GB internal storage, USB type C, a new processor likely Snapdragon 835 and an Iris scanner. Also, S8 is reported to sport a dock accessory called Dex that will turn the phone into desktop computer and lets you connect the phone to monitor and keyboard.

How ever, the stand out feature turns to be the Dex accessory although tried by other companies like Microsoft and Motorola, it has never worked as a concept. So it is very interesting to see how Samsung comes out with the new concept
