It has been a tariff war these days thanks to Reliance Jio which has started the free offer in the Indian telecom industry. After Reliance Jio announced Dhan Dhana Dhan offer a few days back, now it is the airtel’s turn to turn the table. Not late, Airtel announces new tariff recharge packs wherein customers can enjoy unlimited calling and 1GB data per day for a period of 70 days.
Here are the details of the offer:
RC 399: Offers unlimited voice calling to any network across India plus a 1GB 4G data per day with a validity of 70 days
RC 244: Offers unlimited on-net voice calling across India plus a 1GB 4G data per day with a validity of 70 days.
Though the packs clearly say that they do not match Reliance Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer which comes with similar tariff but with a validity of 90 days. Price is another point where Reliance Jio has the upper hand; Reliance Jio has put the price competitively at Rs 309 which is far ahead of airtel.
Next to follow the suit are the Vodafone, Idea and state-run telecom operator, BSNL which are yet to announce the offer. According to a study, Indian telcos have lost revenue that is highest in 10 years due to the sole reason, Reliance Jio.
