Xaiomi has officially released a poster that teases the launch of much-awaited phablet phone Mi Max2. This is in line with earlier report wherein Mi Max 2 is said to be launched in May. The poster indicates that  Mi Max 2 would be launched at a news conference that is scheduled to be held on May 25 at 2 PM. Xaiomi Mi Max2 is the successor to the highly successful Mi Max that was released last year. There are a couple of hardware changes expected to take place in Mi Max 2 with regard to processor, memory, battery and others.

 According to the poster, the guest list for the event includes Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun as well as top Chinese company execs, including Ma Dong, Luo Zhenyu,@ Chen Rui, and Ge Ke and Chinese based girls band Shanghai 48, best known as SNH48. The poster did not reveal any specifications of the phablet. However, The specifications of Mi Max2 are revealed via various rumors. Mi Max2 is said to retain the same 6.44 same display of 6.44-inches size with 1080p resolution similar to Mi Max.

As for the battery, Mi Max2 is said to sport 5,000 mAh battery an upgrade when compared with its predecessor Mi Max that has 4,850 mAh. There are various rumors about the processor type, one rumor tipped Mi Max 2 to be powered by snapdragon 660 SoC. Later another rumor surfaced that indicated Mi Max 2 to sports Snapdragon 626 SoC instead of 660 SoC. Now it is learned that the standard version of Mi Max 2 backed by 4GB RAM will be powered by Snapdragon 626 SoC and the higher variant of Mi Max 2 backed by 6GB RAM AND 128 GB storage will be powered by snapdragon 660 SoC. 

Coming to the camera Mi Max 2 is expected to sport 12MP Sony IMX378 sensor at the rear end and 5 MP front facing cameraNot long ago a purported image of Mi Max2 has been posted on Weibo that revealed some of the specifications on the rear side, top and bottom portions of the device. As for the pricing, Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is expected to be priced 1499 Yuan ($217) for the standard version and 1699 Yuan ($246) for the larger variant.
