Internet global connectivity through satellites....... Have you ever thought this would ever happen? Most of the answers would be 'NO"

This is becoming possible in the near future and the company bringing this technology is 'Space X' or Space Exploration Technologies Corp. Space X is an American Aerospace manufacturer and space transport services company with its head quarters in Hawthorne, California, United States.

It was established in 2002 by Tesla Motors CEO and previous PayPal business visionary Elon Musk with the objective of making the innovations to decrease space transportation costs and empower the colonization of Mars. The company is planning to bring global internet coverage soon with a wide array of satellites that orbit the earth to bring the communication service.

Can anyone guess the number of satellites they are going to launch to bring out this service?

You read it right....!

These satellites are being launched into the orbit ranging from 1150km to 1350km above the earth.

Initially, Space X is going to start the project with 800 satellites

The project is estimated to cost around 10 billion dollars out of which 1 billion dollars had been funded by google looking into the potential of this technology. According to the company, Samsung also approached the Space X  to partner the project.

The company has also filed papers to US government seeking approval for the launch of satellites.

If everything goes right, Space X would be launching the satellites by December 2016 and would test launch the services in 2017
