How to Join the Apple Music Student Membership For a Mere Dollar?

As of September this year , Spotify enjoyed major share with  40 million subscribers, Apple has 17 million paying subscribers. Apple in a new move extended apples Music student membership  service in 25 countries.

Initially, it launched the service in only 7 countries that include Austrlia, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Newzealand, UK  and united states. Currently, apple is offering individual membership for Rs120, family membership for Rs 180 whereas student membership costs just Rs60. You can experience the full music experience at this price.You can also avail the service on your Android phones.This is applicable for all university and college students. The latest move sure going to grab the attention of  students and drive new customers to its music streaming a service. 

New Countries added to the list:




The  new 25 countries where student subscription can be availed are Austria,  Belgium,Canada,   Brazil, China, Chile, Colombia Finland, France, Hongkong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Switzerland, Singapore,South Africa, Spain, Sweden,Thailand, and United Arab emirates. 

For this Apple has partnered with UniDays, a free online system focuses on offering huge savings for students.The main role of UniDays includes helping companies validate Student enrollment  and verify the authenticity of details provided by the student.Some noted partners of Unidays include Spotify,Newlook,Misguided,and urban outfitters.

How to Subscribe to the Student Membership Plan on Apple  or an Android Phone?


Before you join a subscription plan, make sure that you have the latest version on your device.
  • Update the iOS on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  • Update to the latest version of iTunes on your Mac or PC.
  • If you are using Android, update your Android phone to Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) or later.
Then follow the steps to join as a new Apple Music member on your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone.
You can also change to a Student membership from an Individual membership.

On iPhone, iPad or iPad Touch:


If already an active member of Apple Music:

  • Open the Music app.
  • If you're an active member of Apple Music, tap Sign In, then change to a      Student     Membership.
  • Choose College Student.
  • Tap Verify Eligibility. A browser window opens.
  • Enter your email address and search for your college or university name. If you already have a UNiDAYS account, tap "Already verified with UNiDAYS?" and sign in.
  • Sign into your college's portal. After you sign in and are verified as a student, you'll see a message that says, "Open this page in 'Music'?" Tap Open to return to the Music app and finish the join process. 

If you're joining Apple Music for the first time


  • Tap Get 3 Months Free to start your Student Membership. If you've already used three free months of Apple Music, tap Start Student Membership. 
  • If asked, enter the Apple ID and password that you use to the iTunes Store. 
  • You will be asked to validate your billing details, but you won't be charged until the three-month free trial ends. After that add a valid payment method and tap Join.
