Apple working with Foxconn Electronics, for South East Asia expansion

Apple has been looking to expand aggressively in southeast Asia and reportedly working with Foxconn electronics in this direction. The news emerges from Chinese news outlet the Economic Daily News.

Earlier in October Tim cook made an announcement to construct two R&D companies in2017. One is said to be located in Indonesia and the other is expected to be in Shenzhen, China. It is also said that apple will make an announcement and will begin the construction and recruitment during 2017.

Foxconn is active in Indonesia since a couple of years and is in partnership with local brand vendor Luna and Huawei in the market. However, Foxconn has declined the comments. Earlier Reuters, reported that apple will invest $44 million over three years in an R&D center in India.

The rules are more or less similar in indonesia and India that in order to establish a retail store in the country the company needs to have a manufacturing unit or research facilities. There has been speculation that the establishment of the centre will be an advantage for acquiring the license that would allow Apple to sell LTE products in Indonesia.

The most interesting aspect is that  Apple is looking to strengthen its ties with Foxconn. This partnership will benefit Apple and allows it spread throughout the world at a rapid pace. The Shenzhen R& D center in china will allow Apple engineering team to work closely with Foxconn. Earlier this month, Foxconn has confirmed, that it is in the preliminary discussion for US expansion and the company has  plans for an investment of $7B and the creation of 50,000 new jobs within the USA.
