However, Jio has capped the data limit to 1GB in ‘Happy New year offer’ unlike ‘welcome offer ‘where the Jio customers are provided with 4GB data. For both offers,  data  speed reduces to 128Kbps post FUP limit  .Mukesh Ambani in a statement justified his move saying that almost 80% of the users do not use more than 1GB data.

Reliance has rolled out 2 top up vouchers for its prepaid and postpaid customers to satisfy those users who still wants to experience   4G data speeds after the exhaustion of FUP limit of 1GB/per day. If we go through details the first top up voucher costs Rs 51 Which gives 1Gb data and comes with a validity of 24 hours from the time of recharge and won't expire at midnight. The second top up voucher costs Rs 301 and fetches you 6GB data with a validity for 28 days.

  • RC-51 ; 1GB data, validity-24 hours
  • RC 301: 6GB data,Validity - 28 Days

Further, these recharges will be applicable from December 4 for new users and for  existing users they can avail them after December 31.You can recharge top up vouchers from´ My Jio money’ app and ‘My Jio’ app or else by proceeding to company  official website jio.com.

The price war started by Jio is getting intensified day by day which had major impact on shares of rival mobile operators. They  will continue to plummet until and unless they come they come up with some aggressive plans to counter  Jio mania. Earlier, Airtel had come up with the unlimited calling  plan for Rs 149 and recently Vodafone launched new data pack dubbed "Bada data Chota price" for Rs 24 to protect already existing customer base and to  lure new customers.
