Researcher explores, Why Women Consider tattooed Men as the Worst Choice

As part of the study, Researchers asked 2584 heterosexual men and women from Poland to express their views on pictures of topless men. They edited the images such that they display small piece of an art on their arms. When the images were shown to men, they found tattooed males are more attractive than men that bear no tattoos.

On the other hand, women are more attracted to men with no tattoos than men that contained them. They also considered them as the worst choice for partners or as parents. However, women rated tattooed men as healthier. Researchers attributed this to painful experience and risk of infection that arise as a result of tattooing and hence tattoos in a way act as a strong signal for health. A common scientific finding links the tattooed men to be more healthier, masculine, aggressive and dominant than their counterparts.
