Airtel to offer 3GB 4G data per month for 12 months to counter attack Reliance JIo

Bharti Airtel, India's leading telecom operator launched a New Year bonanza to the airtel customers where every airtel customer who switches to airtel 4G network will get 3 GB data per month for a period of 12 months.

The offer will be open from January 4, 2017 and ends on February 28, 2017. So, people who activate airtel 4G within this period will be eligible for the offer.

The prepaid customers who opt for Rs 345 recharge will get additional 3GB data every month, according to the Gurgaon-based operator.

The 12 months offer, worth up to Rs 9000, is available to any customer with a 4G mobile handset that is currently not on the Airtel network, India’s top carrier in a statement said.

The move has come after Reliance Jio offering Happy New Year Plan which offers unlimited calling, SMS and 1GB of 4G data per day. All the leading telecom operators have started the counterattack by launching their own unlimited calling and data packs.

Recently BSNL has come up with RC 144 pack wherein the customers will get unlimited local and STD calling along with 300 MB of data with a validity of one month. Official reports are there that BSNL is launching very much cheaper plans than the existing plans in the industry very sooner.

In a similar way, Reliance communications have come with RC 149 pack which offers unlimited local and STD calling for one month.

The counter attacks by the competitor telecom operators with the packs like these will definitely make JIo loose the customers as well as the revenue
